Street Angels is a voluntary organisation operating in Windsor town centre. We patrol the streets every Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 10.00pm and 4.00am looking for vulnerable people who may need our support and help. This can be in the form of water, flip flops, lollipops, blankets, and a listening ear or in some extreme circumstances calling an ambulance. We work closely with the police, ambulance services and licensed premises. In a typical year we help over 2,000 people, distributed 1,000 pairs of flip flops, 600 bottles of water, and more importantly calm many situations, remove dangerous items, and offer first-aid and support to many vulnerable individuals.
Street Angels operates under the umbrella of Windsor Christian Action (WCA), the only local charity operating social action projects in Windsor town centre. Street Angels is about the local community working with community partners to ensure that people in the night time community have a safe and pleasant experience. We are there to help those in need. We are supported by several local organisations including the Michael Shanly Foundation, Radian Housing, The Edith Murphy Foundation, Prince Philip Trust, Windsor and Maidenhead Christian Trust, Windsor Baptist Church, RBWM and Thames Valley Police.
